This project site, now known as the Richardson Olmsted Complex, was designed as the State Asylum in Buffalo. The building complex, designed by Henry H. Richardson, is now a hotel and convention facility set in what remains of the Olmsted designed landscape. The site was designed in connection with neighboring Delaware Park and Forest Lawn Cemetery (see plan 00612-7)

This project site, now known as the Richardson Olmsted Complex, was designed as the State Asylum in Buffalo. The building complex, designed by Henry H. Richardson, is now a hotel and convention facility set in what remains of the Olmsted designed landscape. The site was designed in connection with neighboring Delaware Park and Forest Lawn Cemetery (see plan 00612-7) and thus is an important part of Buffalo's overall park and open space system. The site was derelict for several years and was recently transformed into a hotel. See job 00612 for plans.
