George E. Kessler, who launched his carreer in Kansas following a recommendation in 1881 from Olmsted Sr., started as the Landscape Architect for Cincinnati parks in 1906. F.L. Olmsted Jr. noted Kessler was still involved in 1918. Four years after Kessler died in 1923 and after revising their Charter, the Cincinnati Park Commissioners reached out to Olmsted, Jr. to inquire about advisory services

Four years after Kessler died in 1923 and after revising their Charter, the Cincinnati Park Commissioners reached out to Olmsted, Jr. to inquire about advisory services of a Landscape Architect, a position Kessler formerly held.
