In 1928 Olmsted Brothers’ partner James Frederick Dawson visited this exclusive summer home community “in regards to some additional lots and possibly a swimming pool and other small matters.” Sketches for a shelter and pergola and a layout for new lots, roads and a wading pool accompanied his April report. He advocated protecting an interior meadow and placing a swimming pool near the shore.
